KASAULI TOWN

Kasauli Town is a hill station located in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. Kasauli is a cantonment was established by British Raj in 1842 as a colonial hill station. Kasauli is 65km from Chandigarh and lies at a height of  6,322 feet (1,927 meters)

Christ Church

Christ Church is the oldest church of Himachal Pradesh located at Kasauli
Christ Church was previously an Anglican church, inaugurated on 24 July 1853.
Since 1970 it has been under the auspices of the Church of North India (CNI) in the diocese of Amritsar. The church contains Spanish and Italian imported stained glass windows depicting Christ, Mary, Saint Barnabas and Saint Francis.
The Parsonage was built in 1850 for priests of the Anglican Church.

Christ Church's architecture includes a clock tower with a sundial in the front, main hall, cruciform floor, beautiful stained glass windows and an aisle which will lead to the beautiful altar sculpture, in which Jesus Christ is bound by Joseph and Mary. There are stained glasses over the altar image of Jesus Christ which depicts the Crucifixion where the image of Christ is flanked by those of Joseph and Mary.

Monkey Point

Monkey Point is the highest point in this place situated in the 'Air Force Station'. One of the highest peaks in Kasauli is Monkey Point that falls at the distance of 4 km from the center of town

Monkey Point Hill

There is a small temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman that sits on this hill. As per a legend of the Ramayana, when Lord Hanuman was returning from the Himalayas after getting the magical herb 'Sanjivani Booti', his foot touched Kasauli hilltop and that's the reason this place is named as Monkey Point.


Lower & Upper Mall          

The two main roads of Kasauli, which is known as the Lower and the Upper Mall. The area has various shops
